Narrative Short Film — Created for the DRUGFREESG Video Competition
Synopsis
FIRST STEPS follows Rayden, a distracted and withdrawn student who is unexpectedly appointed as group leader for his final-year project. While his teammates begin planning, Rayden struggles with mounting pressure and a growing sense of disconnect. His friend Aiman notices his unusual behaviour and becomes concerned.
When Rayden retreats to the school toilet, he is confronted by the consequences of the path he’s been slipping into. A brief, unsettling moment of self-reflection forces him to imagine what his life could become if he continues down that road. With Aiman’s support, Rayden finds the courage to make a decisive change.
He returns to the classroom grounded and ready to take responsibility. Taking his first real step forward, Rayden leads his group with clarity and renewed purpose.

Short Film — Year 1, Semester 2 — Visual Storytelling Module
Created under the module brief: a no-dialogue film set entirely within a single room.
Synopsis
When a typical day on campus suddenly descends into chaos, Kenny takes refuge in an empty classroom, using it as his makeshift safe space. The distant sounds of panic and danger echo through the corridors, leaving him overwhelmed and unsure of what’s happening outside. Alone in the room, Kenny struggles to secure the door, fighting rising fear and uncertainty.
As the tension builds and the noises draw nearer, Kenny is forced to confront the possibility that the room may not keep him safe forever. With no dialogue and limited space, the film relies on visual tension, performance, and atmosphere to capture the emotional intensity of being caught in an unexpected threat.
SAFE HOUSE invites audiences to experience the fear, vulnerability, and resilience of someone trying to stay calm when the world outside feels anything but. Will Kenny make it through—physically and emotionally? The answer unfolds on screen.

Mockumentary Short
Project Description
Menace is a light-hearted mockumentary exploring the “chaos” caused by birds around the Republic Polytechnic campus. Framed in a comedic documentary style, the film follows our team as we interview three students to gather their thoughts, stories, and exaggerated frustrations about these feathered “troublemakers.”
Blending humour with campus life, Menace plays with parody, deadpan interviews, and playful storytelling to highlight how even the most ordinary creatures can become the stars of an unexpected campus legend.
TikTok-Style Awareness Video
Project Description
A short-form, TikTok-style video created for the YouthsAgainstScam SG competition. The piece uses fast pacing, clear visual cues, and platform-native storytelling techniques to raise awareness about common scam tactics and how young people can stay safe online. Designed to be engaging, informative, and easily shareable, the video aims to educate viewers while fitting naturally into TikTok’s style and tone.
