About Me

Hi, I’m Matthew. A Year 2 Media Production & Design student at Republic Polytechnic with a strong passion for visual storytelling and design.

My journey in graphic design began in secondary school, where I started creating designs inspired by my favorite hobbies and sports teams. Over time, what started as a hobby grew into a genuine passion for bringing ideas to life through design.

Beyond design, I’ve always been fascinated by the film industry. I love exploring stories that push boundaries, tackle controversial themes, and spark meaningful conversations. One of my greatest inspirations is Better Luck Tomorrow by Justin Lin, a film that showed me how powerful storytelling can be when paired with bold, cinematic visuals.

My dream is to one day create my own feature-length film, or to combine my love for design and motorsport by working as a graphic designer for a Formula 1 team.

I currently specialise in creating graphic posters that use bold typography and vibrant, in-your-face colors to make an immediate impact. My design style is loud, expressive, and unapologetic. Crafted to grab attention and leave a lasting impression. Most of my work is built using Canva, where I push the platform’s creative limits to develop striking visuals that stand out in any setting.
